Did this one at Share #18 the prompt was “collapse.”
I was not really in a “collapse” sort of mood so this prompt caught me off guard. I thought it over for a while and decided to focus on the reciprocity of forms and cycles — as one thing collapses, another unfurls, and vice versa. Magnolias are one of the most heart-lifting beacons of spring. As this magnolia offers its new buds to the sky, winter’s sparse clarity is collapsing, crumbling, breaking apart.
