“Leave it to a map to unmap” — Marianne Boruch
This painting is part of a series exploring local pigments and materials, using the waters, rocks, and plants of a particular place to meditate on the ever-changing nature of riparian systems and oceanic systems. The constant flux, tumult, and re-calibration of these systems offer valuable lessons for our time.
