New Earth series to be honored in Creative Climate Awards in NYC
I’m thrilled that my painting “New Earth 2” will be featured in the Creative Climate Awards show in Brooklyn and Manhattan from September 17 to October 12, 2018.
I’m honored to be included in this show of work from artists across the globe addressing climate change through their art. Thanks to the Human Impacts Institute for selecting my work and for the great work that they do.
Guiding Signal Fire’s Outpost Residency
It was an honor and a thrill to spend two weeks with fellow guide Wendy Given and 8 wonderful artist residents exploring and learning about the mighty Loowit.
Huge thanks to the Mount Saint Helens Institute for inviting us and to everyone who supports Signal Fire‘s work.
Sitka Center residency
I’m delighted to have been awarded a residency at the Sitka Center for Art + Ecology for December, 2018.
Thanks, also, to PNCA for granting me a sabbatical so that I can focus on my creative work while I’m there!
Sitka Center class
I am honored to be teaching at the Sitka Center for Art + Ecology. Here are some photos from my recent sold-out workshop, “Observation, Imagination, and Chance with Watermedia.”
Thank you to all the wonderful students I met!
If you’re interested in participating in future workshops, please be in touch.
Art + Ecology Minor at PNCA, Juxtapoz press
I spearheaded an Art + Ecology Minor at the Pacific Northwest College of Art.
Students are already making incredible work in this program and several community partnerships have been made with organizations such as PLAYA, Signal Fire, Oregon Environmental Council, and OPAL.
The new program was also featured in Juxtapoz!
Workshop at Scalehouse
I’m excited to be leading a workshop on Visual Storytelling at ScaleHouse, a wonderful community art space in Bend, OR. More details are here.
Caldera residency
For the entire month of March, I’ll be at Caldera as an artist-in-residence. I’m honored and I can’t wait!
