Leaf Litter no.4 is Signal Fire‘s literary journal featuring program participants from our 2013 season.
I art directed and helped edit this edition of Leaf Litter. I worked with the incomparable Amy Harwood. I also wrote this issue’s introductory essay (read it here).
It’s available for purchase at Reading Frenzy and Powells in Portland. Also fee free to contact me if you’d like a copy.
Signal Fire provides opportunities for artists and activists to engage in the natural world. The organization’s residencies and educational trips instill self-reliance, catalyze creative energy, and invite interdisciplinary collaboration. Public lands are utilized in order to advocate for the access to—and protection of—our remaining wild and open places in order to enrich and sustain society. Signal Fire was formed in 2008 and has brought together filmmakers, writers, visual artists, musicians, performers, and creative agitators. I am a member of the Board of Directors and a Trip Leader with Signal Fire.
